鷲田の本はわかりやすい。しかし、わかりやすいものが正しく物事を伝えているとは限らない。難しいからといって正しいというわけでは勿論ないが。
一六世紀の日本が最強の軍事大国だったという話はおもしろかった。ただそれだけ。
「過剰な生命力」と、「過剰な欲望」とは全く別のことである。それくらいは理解してほしい。過剰な生命力は、動植物にもある。環境さえ与えられれば必要以上に繁殖する。それば生命の持つ「余裕」である。農業や家畜はそれを利用したものである。しかし、過剰な欲望は資本主義的思考（西洋的理性）に特有のものである。一歩譲って過剰な欲望が資本主義社会を作ったとしても、その後は資本主義社会が欲望を生産していくのだ。そのような社会においては確かに「倫理」が必要である。しかし、それを一般化してはいけない。それは、倫理を「体制的・資本主義的論理」、イデオロギーにしてしまうことである。
毎日、化学薬品の固まりのような食べ物を食べて、何が入っているかわからない酒を飲むのが人間に一番ふさわしい社会なのか。
いま必要なことは、倫理ではなくて欲望する主体の解体である。それができるまでの間は「倫理」と彼が言うもので「科学的」に自然と共存する道を探さなければならない。
くだらないと思いながらも、講義の続きは聞いてみたい。

Washida's book is easy to understand. However, something that is easy to understand does not always convey things correctly. Of course, just because it's difficult doesn't mean it's correct.
It was interesting to hear that Japan in the 16th century was the strongest military power. That's it.
"Excessive vitality" and "excessive desire" are completely different things. I want you to understand that much. Excessive vitality is also present in animals and plants. It breeds more than necessary if given the environment. That is the "margin" of life. Agriculture and livestock make use of it. However, excessive desire is peculiar to capitalist thinking (Western reason). Even if one step is taken and excessive desires create a capitalist society, then the capitalist society produces desires. In such a society, "ethics" is certainly necessary. But don't generalize it. It turns ethics into a "systematic and capitalist logic", an ideology.
Is it the most suitable society for human beings to eat food like a mass of chemicals every day and drink alcohol that does not know what is in it?
What is needed now is the dismantling of the desired subject, not ethics. Until that is possible, he must find a way to coexist with nature "scientifically" with what he calls "ethics."
I want to hear the continuation of the lecture, though I think it's silly.
