宇野弘蔵の原理論に当たる本である。内容はわかりやすいので、経済学入門にはいい本である。しかし、わかりやすいというのは、少しでもマルクス経済学をかじったことのある人には、ということかもしれない。
この本は、「資本論」批判の本でもある。資本論を「経済学」にした本といった方が正しいかもしれない。そこでは、資本論の批判的精神がすべてそぎ落とされている。索引の終わりにある「本書で取り上げた『資本論』における問題点」を見れば一目瞭然であるが、マルクスが『資本論』において、資本の分析において主張したかったことが純粋な原理論には不要であるという理由で問題点とされているのだ。
彼は、マルクス経済学を「学問の大系」にしたかったのであろう。しかし、それは資本論の精神とは反する物である。資本論からとげを抜いてしまっては行けない。とげのないマルクス経済学は、単にアダムスミスやリカードの後を継ぐ古典経済学にすぎない。
しかし、我々はマルクス経済学を学問たらしめようとした彼の努力は評価すべきである。そこから、改めて資本論を見て、何をすべきかがわかるのである。

This book is also a book that criticizes "Capital theory". A book that makes capital theory "economics" may be more correct. It strips away all the critical spirit of capital theory. As you can see at a glance at the end of the index, "Problems in" Capital Theory "covered in this book", what Marx wanted to insist in the analysis of capital in "Capital Theory" is in pure original theory. It is a problem because it is unnecessary.
He probably wanted to make Marxian economics a "scholarly system". However, it is contrary to the spirit of capital theory. You can't go without the thorns from the theory of capital. The prickly Marxian economics is merely classical economics, the successor to Adam Smith and Ricardo.
However, we should appreciate his efforts to make Marxian economics a scholarship. From there, we can look at the theory of capital again and understand what to do.
