最初はなかなかイワン・デニソヴィッチが出てこないなあと思いながら読んでました。（笑）
外国文学は別名や愛称が使われるのでこんがらがってきます。後半はすんなり読めました。重低音としてスターリン批判が全編で流れているのは当然として、ロシアの一農民が無実の罪で何十年も監獄に入れられる。厳しいシベリアの寒地で最低限の生活を強いられる。しかし、絶望感に襲われることはない、今日一日を一生懸命生きること。それが結果として明日につながる。そういったロシア人の生き方が、革命を成功させたのかもしれない。
それに比べて先進国と言われる国に住んでいる人は、今、常に明日のことを考えている。今日何事かをなさない限り、今日より良い明日なんかは来ないのに。
私達は牢獄にいるわけではない。少なくとも、明日が今日より悪くならないために、今日あなたがなさなければならないことはある。

Alien names and nicknames are used in foreign literature, so it's confusing. I could read it easily in the latter half. It goes without saying that the criticism of Stalin is played as a heavy bass all over, and a Russian farmer is put in prison for decades for innocence. You are forced to live in a harsh cold Siberian climate. However, there is no hope of despair, so live your day today. That will lead to tomorrow. That Russian way of life may have made the revolution a success.
By comparison, people who live in countries called developed countries are always thinking about tomorrow. Unless I do something today, there will be no better tomorrow than today.
We are not in prison. At least there is something you have to do today so that tomorrow will not be worse than today.
